Relief Society Lesson Sunday, June 3, 2012

Pres Monson, on Sunday morning of conference in a talked entitled, The Race of Life, tells us that many of the things that occupy our time and thoughts are trivial in nature, such as the color to paint a room or what to fix for dinner. But most of us will also have crises in our lives, circumstances that are very difficult to deal with. He said, "In our times of deepest reflection or greatest need, the soul of man reaches heavenward, seeking a divine response to life’s greatest questions: Where did we come from? Why are we here? Where do we go after we leave this life?"
The discussion in class will segue into missionary work, because as members of the church we have the answers to all these questions, and as we go about our lives, we can look for times when we can introduce people to the gospel. It doesn't need to be formal; many times it will be very informal discussions. But we do need to think about what it means to us to be a member of the church, and how it affects our lives for good. We can also be prepared with PassAlong cards, church magazines, or the missionaries phone number to give to people with questions.
